How Jobvite reads your résumé

Line-oriented reader with solid parsing of conventional résumés; graphics and multi-column layouts are risky.

How to tell a job uses Jobvite

Check the link on the job's Apply button. Jobvite postings usually live at:

  • jobs.jobvite.com
    https://jobs.jobvite.com/acme/job/oAbC123

Not sure? Paste the link into the free detector and it will name the platform.

Format your résumé for Jobvite

A standard single-column résumé parses cleanly.

  • Use one column, top to bottom.
  • Give every section a standard heading on its own line.
  • Put skills in plain text, not a table or a skill-bar graphic.
  • Keep your name, email, and phone in the main body, not a header or text box.

Headings parsers map to fields most reliably: Summary, Experience, Education, Skills, Certifications, Projects.

How we know: ATS vendors don't publish their parsers. This guide is based on a model of how each platform tends to read a page, not on Jobvite's source code, so treat the risks as an informed estimate. The URL patterns are exact.
